What we do
WHY WE NEED TO EXIST
Inequality in the UK is among the worst in the developed world, according to researchers. People in poverty, disabled people, Black and minority ethnic communities and migrants are disproportionately impacted by financial hardship and barriers to healthcare, employment and social economic opportunities etc. Most marginalised communities, being it BAME or other wise have experienced profound trauma.
Traumatic experiences account for around half of all mental health problems worldwide, yet trauma-informed treatments are rarely available. Indeed, most survivors of trauma never get the specialised help that they need to recover and heal. These trauma are sometimes caused by lack of inclusivity, Isolation, opportunities and marginalisation. This is why we exist to bridge these gap and offer people we serve the opportunity to develop and build bond within our host community and beyond.
