Sunderland African Community Association (SACA) is a BME led organisation of African decent, friends and families of the African community in the City of Sunderland. We take pride in our African heritage and culture. We endeavour to expand on existing initiatives which support African community while seeking to develop leadership, empowerment and inclusion. Advocating on behalf of the African community through democratic and inclusive organisational structures, whilst partnering with other organisations with similar objectives. We seek to collaborate with all those who share an interest in the SACA objectives and thereby networking for mutual benefit. We strive to build a strong network of African people in the City of Sunderland and beyond.
Our objects are:
- To promote the interest of Africans and their dependents living in the City of Sunderland who are in condition of need, hardship and distress.
- To promote the interest and social welfare inn the field of recreation, leisure, education, self-help and otherwise.
- To advance the education and training of Africans and their dependents in need thereby enabling them to advance in life and assist in their rehabilitation within their adopted country of resident
- To promote healthy lifestyles, including to preserve and protect the physical and mental wellbeing of such Africans and their dependents living in the City of Sunderland.
